Kindership™

Kindership™ (kīnd-ər-ship) is the flagship service and process developed by LEAP Leadership to assess and implement the value of interpersonal kindness as fundamental to organizational success. LEAP Leadership works with you to blend Kindership™ principles within multiple levels of your organization by facilitating :

  • Enhanced retention and recruitment as individuals find a safer and more welcoming workplace–a place where hard work is done with civility and support.
  • Increased engagement in work groups and teams with inclusive and collaborative efforts.
  • A place where engagement focuses on accountability and respect for a balanced life that is derived from effective and aligned systems.
  • Infusing the brand and corporate identity with a demonstration of kindness that starts inside the organization with employees and reaches customers, vendors and contractors.
  • Providing a framework for organizational policy development by asking how it would feel to be on the receiving end of managerial decisions and practices.
  • Increasing accountability for and adherence to corporate policies by building a corporate culture that is broad, where all employees are held accountable for kind interactions, regardless of power or position.

An inseparable part of this equation requires understanding the impact of action taken and requests made on one’s manager, peers and direct reports.

When practiced effectively in the workplace, Kindership™ propagates through the organization. It drives performance and increases organizational success.

LEAP Leadership uses a proprietary assessment instrument to measure a leader’s Kindership™ Quotient as a baseline and then recommends and implements learning experiences to make Kindership™ endemic to your organization.

Goal of Kindership:

Kindership is designed to create long-term benefits using daily and organizationally-installed business practices that place the human at the center of both business processes and outcomes. By installing kindness and respect for individuals at the organizational level, we can in turn embed it in the results for clients.  As a byproduct, we create an organizational culture—and hopefully broader society—that feels both valued and heard.

Kindership affords employees the ability to go home at the end of the workday with energy to give to those they consider family. Employees do not feel defeated or unecessarily depleted, but rather that they matter and are respected by their colleagues and stakeholders.

By creating and instituting business policies that are kind, professionals can lead at all levels by first connecting with their own feelings, and then connecting with each other. Kindership leads to heightened, more accurate decision-making processes because it involves heightened awareness. Leaders who are open and willing to admit mistakes—and who are institutionally supported in doing so—are able and to correct those mistakes with less shame and listen with greater detail and engagement.

Kindership seeks to install “the essence of good interaction” as a practice for  mutually demonstrated respect and appreciation, one that facilitates psychological safety and trust. Together, these elements, with corresponding metrics, enhance working conditions that produce the most efficient and profitable outcomes. Kindership seeks to put humanity back in business, honoring the human as the driving force of our global economies.

Culture is to an organization what character is to an individual, and Kindership™ is the practice that makes kindness endemic to your business.
